Position Title: Logistics Buyer

Contract Type: 6 month contract

Location: Remote working

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled procurement expert to join a leading global manufacturer in the food and beverage industry.

As a vital member of the Procurement team, you will gain extensive knowledge of the complete Procurement management process and contribute significantly to business outcomes by focusing on key areas and projects across various product categories.

In this role, you will collaborate with a large network of international Buyers, providing you with the chance to learn and implement best practices from a global perspective.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Logistics Procurement Lead in executing the category strategy for the UK and Ireland.
  • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and strategically procure goods and services for designated logistics sub-categories.
  • Oversee supplier management and engage in various operational and tactical tasks.

You will utilize procurement tools and advocate for B-Corp Accreditation, demonstrating your commitment to sustainable practices. This position requires advanced skills in tender management, supplier relationship management, and contractual negotiation.

A detail-oriented and inquisitive mindset is essential, as you will be expected to identify opportunities for improvement in sourcing and delivering the product portfolio. A proven track record in contract negotiation is highly valued, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and a solid understanding of financial principles related to logistics and supply chains.

Travel Requirements: Occasional travel may be necessary for meetings at the head office and supplier locations.
