Job Purpose
As a Health, Safety & Environment Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of our employees and the protection of our environment. You will provide expert guidance and support on HSE matters, contributing to the implementation and maintenance of our robust management systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice and guidance to Roke employees on various HSE matters.
- Support the objectives of Roke's HSE management systems and strategies.
- Conduct internal audits of HSE management systems to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Deliver comprehensive Health and Safety inductions to new employees, ensuring they understand their responsibilities and the company's HSE policies.
- Collaborate in HSE meetings, working groups, and steering committees to contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives.
- Participate in or lead HSE investigations as needed, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Manage HSE training requirements and platforms, ensuring employees have access to the necessary resources and development opportunities.
- Coordinate with HR on occupational health matters, display screen equipment assessments, and other adjustments to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
- Assist in EcoOnline reviews and ensure accurate input of employee and environmental data.
- Support the planning and execution of external audits, including ISO 45001, 45003, and 14001 management standards.
- Ensure proper management and storage of HSE-related documents and artifacts for accessibility by stakeholders.
Key Requirements
- NEBOSH HSE certificate (essential or working towards).
- Experience in implementing and maintaining HSE management systems.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
