Caterpillar is seeking a skilled Cooling System Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Engine Systems Team, you will be responsible for designing and developing cooling systems for our Back Hoe Loader, Compact Wheel Loader, and Telehandler products.
Key Responsibilities:- Define cooling system requirements and specifications for new product development cycles
- Utilize analytical tools to determine optimal cooling system design and performance
- Collaborate with suppliers to evaluate and select cooling system components
- Develop and implement cooling system installation designs, including fan selection and shroud design
- Conduct cooling system validation activities, including test planning, data analysis, and effectiveness evaluation
- Proven analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of computer-aided design and engineering tools
- Experience with product design and development, including construction products
- Project management skills, including prioritization and collaboration with international teams
- Previous experience in leading cooling system design from concept to production
- Strong knowledge of Back Hoe Loaders, Compact Wheel Loaders, or Telehandlers
- Knowledge of engines and engine installation design
Caterpillar offers a competitive salary package, including a base salary of £45,000-£54,000 depending on experience, plus benefits such as 27 days annual leave, 10% bonus, and a contributory pension scheme.
