About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at NEAS. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting autistic and neurodivergent children and young people to access personalized programs of study in one of our specialist schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work independently and as part of a team to support students with autism and neurodevelopmental disorders
  • Assist students with daily living skills, academic tasks, and social interactions
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to promote student learning and well-being
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
  • Ability to work with students with autism and neurodevelopmental disorders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
