Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health and Safety Manager to lead our EHS team at Dover Fueling Solutions' Dundee factory. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the effective management of environmental health and safety aspects, ensuring top-percentile performance and continual improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement a strong safety and sustainability culture site-wide.
  2. Build engagement strategies with the EHS team, safety committee, and other stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and sustainability.
  3. Compile, analyze, and interpret internal and external data to prevent and mitigate EHS risks.
  4. Review and develop written safety and health programs, ensuring consistent application across all functions.
  5. Develop EHS safety training curriculum and assist with site implementation to meet legislative requirements.
  6. Own and coordinate audit, review, and strategy for ISO 14001, 45001, and 50001 standards.
  7. Maintain the corporate safety library and EHS software system.
  8. Conduct risk control processes, including risk and COSHH assessments, as required by legislation.
  9. Investigate accidents, incidents, and Hi-Po events, identifying root causation and implementing corrective actions.
  10. Empower operational staff to present ideas and create EHS improvements in processes.
  11. Collaborate with Senior Leadership to identify project opportunities and bring continuous improvement activities.
  12. Provide EHS support within operations, serving as a coach, mentor, and main contact point for EHS-related issues.
  13. Maintain and develop EHS KPI dashboards and visual indicators for the site.
  14. Act as the EHS representative in management of change activities, ensuring risks are controlled.
  15. Coordinate and manage first aid, mental health first-aid, and fire representatives.
  16. Work with external bodies to ensure lowest environmental risk from site activities.
Requirements
  1. Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  2. Fluent in English language, both verbal and written.
  3. Qualification in occupational health and safety, such as a master's, NVQ, BSC, or NEBOSH national diploma.
  4. Understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and other relevant legislation.
  5. Desirable: previous experience managing a team or people, and experience with mental health and related best practices.

  10. Good presentation skills, including use of Microsoft suite.
Other Requirements

A degree of flexibility in working hours as occasional work supporting factory shift patterns may be required.
