Young People's Emotional Wellbeing Specialist

We are seeking a passionate Young People's Emotional Wellbeing Specialist to play a vital role in providing therapeutic interventions, guidance, and training to support the emotional wellbeing and transition of young individuals from formal mental health services.

Role Responsibilities
  • Provide direct therapeutic input to children and young people to enhance their emotional health and wellbeing.
  • Support individuals facing emotional health challenges and facilitate positive relationships.
  • Collaborate with mental health professionals and agencies to ensure quality service delivery.
  • Contribute to problem-solving and seamless care pathways for young people.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures for efficient service delivery.
  • Engage in personal development and reflective learning.
Essential Criteria
  • Hold a relevant therapy qualification with minimum years of experience.
  • Collaborate effectively with mental health professionals.
  • Background in social care, youth work, or related fields.
  • Previous experience in supporting children and young people with emotional health needs.
  • Ability to manage own caseload and knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
  • Strong desire to assist others, with a creative and solution-focused approach.
  • Experience as a looked after child or personal experience with emotional health support is valued.
  • Hold a valid UK driving license with access to own vehicle.
  • Willingness to travel across Essex.
