We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team at Stride Resourcing, specializing in high-end residential joinery projects with values up to £1,000,000.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate costings, managing tender processes, and ensuring the financial success of each project by monitoring variations, scope changes, and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit detailed cost estimates and tender documents for projects.
  • Produce AutoCAD and SketchUp drawings to support tender submissions and articulate subcontractor requirements.
  • Gather quotes from subcontractors and suppliers for specialist items.

Project Financial Management:

  • Manage project allowances, ensuring they are not exceeded.
  • Identify any financial changes that may affect project profitability.

Surveying:

  • Monitor and control cost variations, accurately pricing and recording their impact on final accounts.

Reconciliation:

  • Reconcile all elements of project quotations, including design, manufacturing, finishing, installation, and material costs.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in estimating or surveying, particularly in joinery or high-end residential projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp is also required. Strong financial acumen and the ability to manage multiple projects are essential. The ability to work with subcontractors and build supplier relationships is also crucial.
