A remarkable opportunity exists for a seasoned Estimator with over 6 years of experience to join a prominent building and refurbishment contractor.
Applicants should possess comprehensive knowledge of all facets of new construction and refurbishment across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage multiple refurbishment and new construction projects valued up to £7m, including traditional and Design & Build tenders, utilizing specialized estimating software.
- Demonstrate the capability to independently generate precise and competitive tenders.
- Evaluate tender documents and prepare inquiries for sub-contracts and materials.
- Create detailed bills of quantities.
- Conduct risk and value management.
- Develop budgets, estimates, and cost plans.
- Participate in internal tender evaluations and present to external clients.
- Maintain a solid understanding of current CDM 2015 Health and Safety regulations, modern construction methods, and contractual knowledge.
- Implement value engineering throughout the design phase of Design & Build contracts.
- Prepare analytical cost estimates, including preliminaries.
- Review and compare Sub Contractor quotations.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and the supply chain.
- Proficient in using estimating software.
