Job Overview

We are in search of a passionate and committed Phonics Instruction Support Assistant to enhance our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will aid in delivering high-quality phonics education, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment, and contributing to the overall growth and well-being of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning, preparation, and execution of effective phonics lessons and interventions.
  • Work with small groups and individual students to reinforce phonics learning and cater to specific needs.
  • Monitor student progress and provide consistent feedback to educators and parents.
  • Support the establishment of a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with educators and other staff to develop and implement phonics strategies and resources.
  • Engage in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain precise records and reports on student performance and progress.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications and/or training in phonics education.
  • Experience as a teaching assistant in a primary educational setting.

  • Capacity to inspire and motivate students.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
