As a key member of the respiratory department, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive patient care, encompassing diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of respiratory conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional clinical care to patients with diverse respiratory needs.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, formulate accurate diagnoses, and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Perform a range of pleural procedures, including aspirations and chest drain insertions, with expertise and precision.
  • Manage non-invasive ventilation (NIV) effectively to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Lead and participate in respiratory clinics, providing expert guidance and support to patients.
  • Contribute to the education and training of medical, nursing, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Engage in clinical audit and research activities to enhance the quality of care provided.
Requirements

To excel in this role, you will possess:

Essential Criteria
  • A strong commitment to patient-centered care and a compassionate approach.
  • A comprehensive understanding of respiratory medicine principles and practices.
  • Mastery of pleural procedures, including aspirations and chest drain insertions.
  • Experience in managing non-invasive ventilation (NIV).
  • Proven ability to lead and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • A dedication to continuous professional development and staying abreast of advancements in the field.
Desirable Criteria
  • Higher degree (PhD or MD) in a relevant field.
  • Experience in utilizing thoracic ultrasound imaging.
  • Completion of a management course.
  • A thorough understanding of the NHS and its organizational structure.
