As a key member of the respiratory department, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive patient care, encompassing diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of respiratory conditions.
Responsibilities- Deliver exceptional clinical care to patients with diverse respiratory needs.
- Conduct thorough assessments, formulate accurate diagnoses, and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Perform a range of pleural procedures, including aspirations and chest drain insertions, with expertise and precision.
- Manage non-invasive ventilation (NIV) effectively to optimize patient outcomes.
- Lead and participate in respiratory clinics, providing expert guidance and support to patients.
- Contribute to the education and training of medical, nursing, and other healthcare professionals.
- Engage in clinical audit and research activities to enhance the quality of care provided.
To excel in this role, you will possess:
Essential Criteria- A strong commitment to patient-centered care and a compassionate approach.
- A comprehensive understanding of respiratory medicine principles and practices.
- Mastery of pleural procedures, including aspirations and chest drain insertions.
- Experience in managing non-invasive ventilation (NIV).
- Proven ability to lead and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- A dedication to continuous professional development and staying abreast of advancements in the field.
- Higher degree (PhD or MD) in a relevant field.
- Experience in utilizing thoracic ultrasound imaging.
- Completion of a management course.
- A thorough understanding of the NHS and its organizational structure.
