Transport Operations Coordinator

Kinaxia Logistics is seeking a highly skilled Transport Operator to join their team at their Mark Thompson Transport site in Warrington. As a Transport Operator, you will play a crucial role in executing collection and delivery schedules in a cost-effective and efficient manner, ensuring excellent customer service levels and compliance with legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Transportation Planning: Utilize IT systems and vehicles to allocate drivers, vehicles, loads, back loads, and trailers accurately, and communicate plans to external and internal customers to improve departmental efficiency and the Group's overall performance.
- Driver Management: Ensure sufficient driver staffing levels are in place at all times, including agency staff, to meet customer requirements.
- Time Management: Authorize driver timesheets on a weekly basis to manage driver hours effectively.
- Status Tracking: Monitor drivers and vehicles to ensure collections and deliveries are on target, and communicate delays to customers in a timely manner.
- Service Recovery: Deploy service recovery actions when required to prevent customer collection or delivery failures.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, including load sheets for the warehouse, handovers to relevant individuals or departments, and key stakeholders for operational delays.
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively with colleagues and participate in cross-training initiatives to provide effective cover in a colleague's absence.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify, communicate, and drive continuous improvements to develop the operation of the business.
- Health and Safety: Maintain a high standard of general housekeeping and work in a safe manner, complying with all health and safety regulations to ensure a clean, safe, and tidy working environment.
- Communication with Colleagues: Maintain clear communication with other colleagues and drivers to ensure customer KPIs and targets are achieved and maintained.
- Knowledge and Experience: Working knowledge of the Highway Code, EU tachograph requirements, Working Time Regulations, and Road Transport Regulations.
- Transport Operation Systems: Working knowledge of transport operation systems.
- Logistics Qualification: Logistics qualification would be desirable.
- Geography: Geography knowledge.
- Health and Safety Regulations: Health and Safety regulations knowledge.
- Relevant Transport Experience: Relevant transport experience.
- Problem-Solving: Analyzing and solving logistic problems.
