We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Control Room Operative to join our Security Department at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Main Duties- Provide a response service for alarms at the Trust, ensuring prompt and effective action to minimize disruption.
- Offer an out-of-hours repair response helpline for the estates department, providing expert technical support.
- Produce access control/ID cards and process applications for access control, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with Trust policies.
- Monitor CCTV systems, providing evidence as required and adhering to data protection regulations.
- Act professionally at all times, embodying the Trust's PROUD values and promoting a positive image of the Security Department.

Person SpecificationEssential Qualifications
- GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent knowledge/experience)
Desirable Qualifications
- Recognized security qualification (SIA CCTV licence)
- Membership of relevant professional association
Essential Experience
- Experience of working in a control room environment
- Knowledge of procedures for use of CCTV, Intruder Alarms, and Access Control
- Ability to deal with the public in a polite and courteous manner
Desirable Experience
- Knowledge of Health & Safety at Work
- Fire precautions & regulations
- Knowledge of CCTV systems
- Knowledge, familiarity with Data Protection Act
Special Skills/Aptitudes
- Able to communicate effectively with the public and a wide range of staff groups
- Ability to use IT equipment, including Microsoft packages
