Job Summary

Main Duties
  • Provide a response service for alarms at the Trust, ensuring prompt and effective action to minimize disruption.
  • Offer an out-of-hours repair response helpline for the estates department, providing expert technical support.
  • Produce access control/ID cards and process applications for access control, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with Trust policies.
  • Monitor CCTV systems, providing evidence as required and adhering to data protection regulations.
  • Act professionally at all times, embodying the Trust's PROUD values and promoting a positive image of the Security Department.

Person Specification

Essential Qualifications

  • GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent knowledge/experience)

Desirable Qualifications

  • Recognized security qualification (SIA CCTV licence)
  • Membership of relevant professional association

Essential Experience

  • Experience of working in a control room environment
  • Knowledge of procedures for use of CCTV, Intruder Alarms, and Access Control
  • Ability to deal with the public in a polite and courteous manner

Desirable Experience

  • Knowledge of Health & Safety at Work
  • Fire precautions & regulations
  • Knowledge of CCTV systems
  • Knowledge, familiarity with Data Protection Act

Special Skills/Aptitudes

  • Able to communicate effectively with the public and a wide range of staff groups
  • Ability to use IT equipment, including Microsoft packages
