Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the daily transport operation, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and legislation.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to drivers, ensuring they are aware of their responsibilities and are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
  • Monitor and report on transport performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to optimize efficiency.
  • Collaborate with transport managers, planners, and administration staff to ensure the smooth running of the transport operation.
  • Ensure that all transport-related documentation is accurate and up-to-date, including driver records, vehicle maintenance records, and transport plans.

Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of transport legislation, including drivers' hours rules and vehicle/transport legislation/H&S legislation.
  • Proven experience in a transport management role, with a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • International CPC holder preferred.
