Quality Assurance Engineer

Position Overview:
As a Quality Assurance Engineer at Hudson Shribman, you will be tasked with upholding the highest standards of quality and safety across the organization.
Your role will focus on enhancing operational processes, minimizing errors and waste, and ensuring optimal performance throughout the company.
You will also be instrumental in sustaining ISO9001 certification and collaborating with suppliers to guarantee the quality of materials.
Core Responsibilities:
ISO9001 Adherence:
Conduct regular assessments to ensure compliance across all departments.
Work alongside external audit teams for verification and regulatory compliance.
Engage with staff to implement process enhancements and update relevant documentation.
Ensure that new hires are educated on ISO9001 standards in coordination with their supervisors.
Supplier Quality Management:
Carry out inspections of incoming goods, either randomly or according to a predetermined process.
Oversee the rejection process for supplied materials, working with suppliers for replacements, corrections, or adjustments at their expense.
Collaborate with Purchasing and Suppliers to ensure adherence to our quality requirements, including site evaluations as necessary.
Conduct annual assessments and evaluations of all suppliers.
Vet and audit new suppliers as required.
Equipment Quality Assurance:
Authorize equipment as complete and ready for dispatch, ensuring that quality records and documentation are comprehensive.
Address customer complaints and ensure follow-through within the organization to drive improvements.
Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
Thoroughly assess processes and procedures, involving team members in promoting enhancements.
Encourage a culture of continuous improvement among employees.
Performance Metrics (KPIs):
Maintain KPIs to reflect the effectiveness of the quality function.
Introduce new KPIs as necessary to advance the function.
Implement corrective measures when outcomes do not meet established standards.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in quality assurance engineering and knowledge of ISO9001 standards.
Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
Experience in supplier quality management and continuous improvement strategies.
