Job Overview

We are seeking a Building Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert building surveying services while driving business growth and fostering client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough building surveys, inspections, and condition reports to provide expert advice on property acquisition, refurbishment, and maintenance.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, specifications, and schedules of work to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Manage and coordinate refurbishment and fit-out projects, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
  • Provide expert Party Wall advice and approval and monitoring of tenant licence for alterations.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for new business.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to deliver integrated property solutions.
Requirements
  • Degree in Building Surveying or a related field.
  • Membership of RICS (MRICS).
  • Proven experience in commercial property surveying.
  • Strong technical knowledge and practical experience in building pathology, construction, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in using relevant software and technology.
