Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Central Lancashire Home Based Treatment Team (HBTT) at Royal Preston Hospital. This is a full-time (10PA) substantive post that offers a unique opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team providing a 24/7 service for people in Preston, Chorley, and South Ribble.

Main Duties

The postholder will work as part of a dynamic team, carrying a compact caseload of complex and unstable cases. They will be expected to participate in the Consultant On Call rota, providing consultation and advice to other team members. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements
  • Full GMC registration and Licence to Practise
  • On GMC Specialist register or within 6 months
  • Section 12 approved or within 3 months
  • AC status or within 3 months
  • Knowledge, skills, and experience relevant to this post
