  • Ensuring shift start, finish, and break times are adhered to by all team members
  • Ensuring team members are working in line with production expectations
  • Ensuring shift schedule is followed in an optimal order to meet customer collection requirements and plant throughput
  • Ensuring all work carriers are fully loaded
  • Ensuring part identification and counts are accurate
  • Ensuring any rejects are re-processed by the end of each shift
  • Ensuring all loads that are questionable are passed or rejected within the shift
  • Ensuring all working areas are tidy, safe, and all rubbish is allocated correctly
  • Notifying maintenance of any occurring problems
  • Ensuring quality control stamps are being used where needed
  • Liaising with packing supervisor to ensure loads are processed at the right time
  • Organising suitable cover / overtime to maintain production throughput
  • Issuing disciplinary procedures with the help of production manager as required
  • Presenting daily shift performance to the production manager at the scheduled daily hand over meeting
  • Carrying out a detailed handover with the incoming shift supervisor
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience supervising a team
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills
