SEN Outreach Tutor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SEN Outreach Tutor to join our team at Prospero Teaching. As a SEN Outreach Tutor, you will be responsible for providing one-to-one support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) who are not currently accessing mainstream education.
The students we support have a diagnosis of ADHD, ASD, and Autism, and require support with their core subjects, Maths and English. You will need to assess their current ability and reintroduce education into their routine while a suitable school provision is found.
Lessons will take place either in a local library or the student's home. You will need to be creative, patient, and willing to think outside the box to meet the individual needs of each student.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide one-to-one support to students with SEN
- Assess student's current ability and develop a personalized learning plan
- Deliver Maths and English lessons to students at a lower level
- Work with students in a local library or their home
- Collaborate with the student's family and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to support
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience working with students with SEN or disengaged pupils
- UK classroom teaching experience
- Ability to work creatively and think outside the box
- Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service
- Two professional child-related references
