Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and flexible Quality Manager to join our Consett Team at Airedale by Modine. As a key member of our quality team, you will drive down the cost of quality and implement the Quality Management System (ISO9001) across the plant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a 'Quality Improvement Plan' to drive down the cost of quality and ensure synergy across sites.
  • Maintain a safe workspace and good housekeeping standards, recognizing the 'Voice of the Customer' in everything we do.
  • Act as a 'change agent' to support the business with a strong focus on developing a proactive and preventive quality improvement culture and mindset.
  • Manage and develop the 'CAR' process, ensuring internal quality problems and customer concerns are fully investigated using recognized problem-solving tools and techniques.
  • Generate customer reports related to quality failures or concerns.
  • Collaborate with the Leeds Quality Team to ensure effective quality management across sites.
  • Drive down 'Cost of Quality' across the business, including internal quality, warranty, and reliability costs.

Requirements

  • Hold a higher education qualification applicable to a Quality Engineering role and/or demonstrate at least 3 years' experience in a similar position.
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis or problem-solving tools.
  • Positive attitude with a 'can-do' mindset when faced with a quality challenge.
