Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and development of our next-generation air-breathing ion propulsion system. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our upcoming mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop complex mechanical products from scratch, including the air-breathing ion propulsion system.
  • Lead a team of mechanical, test, and simulation engineers to deliver high-quality subsystems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including CAD models, drawings, and specifications.
  • Conduct structural analysis using FEM software (e.g., ANSYS) and ensure high-tolerance design.
  • Work closely with manufacturers to select and procure materials and components.
  • Perform quality control and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on satellite propulsion systems.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and delivering complex projects.
  • Strong knowledge of CAD modeling, drawing preparation, and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Experience with FEM software (e.g., ANSYS) and structural analysis.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
