We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Commercial Finance Manager to join our team at the Waterside Head Office. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in providing commercial insights to our management team, partnering with the business to optimize and challenge financial performance, and driving commercial initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare weekly trading reports and dashboards, as well as weekly CEO updates, to provide timely and accurate financial information.
- Develop and present monthly presentations on trading performance, highlighting key trends and drivers of results.
- Work closely with the management accounts team to understand monthly performance by site, brand, and location.
- Review P&L cost items on a regular basis to develop a deep understanding of the cost base and present key trends.
- Partner with key stakeholders to drive commercial initiatives and improve financial performance.
- Actively look to improve reporting impact and efficiency by maximizing the use of SAP analytics tools and reducing reliance on spreadsheets.
- Work closely with the Country Manager to optimize performance, cost control, and improve profitability.
- Provide support and information to improve decision-making, including quarterly forecasts and annual budget preparation.
- Manage a team of 4 direct reports, including the development of roles and responsibilities.
- Qualified Accountant with a strong background in commercial finance.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to establish frameworks and processes.
- Ability to multi-task, adapt, and respond to changing priorities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to develop, encourage, and lead a strong high-performance team.
- Confident presenting to and challenging senior stakeholders where necessary.
- Multi-site experience in hospitality or retail is desirable.
