Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lab Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for integrating various risk management processes to ensure that our business management systems are aligned and effective across quality, health, safety, and environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Systematically review and update the existing policy and procedure framework to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the maintenance and review of the organisation's Risk Register document to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Lead the deployment of our incident reporting and investigation process to ensure timely and effective response to incidents.
  • Provide project-level input and support to operational teams to ensure effective risk management.
  • Champion our internal Safety Observation Card programme to promote a culture of safety and well-being.
  • Support and enable our Mental Health First Aider network to promote mental health and well-being.
  • Manage our SharePoint communications process to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Lead the employee consultation process via our Safety Committee to ensure employee engagement and participation.
  • Develop strong stakeholder relationships with quality and safety leads across revenue streams to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
  • Ensure specification and investment in training are aligned with the IBMS to ensure effective risk management.

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH General certification.
  • Strong knowledge of legal and compliance requirements.
  • A structured and systematic approach to identifying, prioritising, and mitigating risk.
  • The ability to draft clear, concise policy and process documents.
  • Some experience in managing risk extending from subcontractors/supply chain.
