Key Responsibilities- Menu Development: Create and innovate seasonal menus that showcase fresh, local ingredients and cater to a diverse clientele.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the kitchen brigade, fostering a positive and professional working environment.
- Quality Control: Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented to the highest standards, consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
- Financial Management: Oversee food costs, stock control, and kitchen budgets, ensuring profitability while maintaining quality.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that all kitchen operations adhere to health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Supplier Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers to source the best quality ingredients.
- Operational Efficiency: Manage kitchen schedules, staffing, and workflows to ensure smooth service during peak times.
- Customer Engagement: Work closely with the front-of-house team to gather feedback and continuously improve the dining experience.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a similar high-volume, fresh food environment.
- Culinary Skills: Strong culinary skills with a passion for creativity and innovation in menu design.
- Leadership: Exceptional leadership abilities with experience managing and developing a kitchen team.
- Business Acumen: Solid understanding of financial management, including cost control and budget management.
- Attention to Detail: High standards of food presentation, hygiene, and safety.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Competitive Salary: £46,000 plus a £10,000 bonus based on performance.
