Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand the unique challenges and strengths of each service user.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address a wide range of occupational needs, including daily living skills, cognitive function, sensory processing, and social participation.
- Provide direct therapy sessions, utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques to promote functional independence and enhance quality of life.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, psychologists, and social workers, to ensure holistic care.
- Advocate for service users' rights and needs within the healthcare system.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Registered Occupational Therapist with a valid license to practice in the UK.
- Proven experience working with individuals who have complex and diverse needs, including mental health conditions, physical disabilities, and cognitive impairments.
- Strong clinical reasoning skills and the ability to adapt treatment plans based on individual progress and changing circumstances.
