About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist Lead to join our team at SSE Enterprise. As a key member of our AI Centre of Excellence, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of AI solutions across our business units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement AI solutions with a focus on machine learning techniques, deep learning, and generative AI methods.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate AI capabilities into existing systems and workflows.
  • Continuously monitor the performance of deployed AI systems and support business unit delivery teams in making necessary improvements and updates.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI technologies and identify their potential applications in the organization.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience designing and implementing AI solutions with a focus on machine learning techniques, deep learning, and generative AI methods.
  • Proficiency in programming languages and popular AI/ML frameworks and models, including adaptability and willingness to learn new AI technologies and techniques.
  • Familiarity with database warehouse and data engineering concepts, including data pipelines and data lakehouse.
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills, particularly in applying state-of-the-art data science and AI to solve business problems.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information to business executives and support technical demos, workshops, and mentoring.
