About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer - Safety Specialist to join our team at oilandgas. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality safety engineering solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of safety engineering plans and procedures for major modification projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the technical and safety integrity of engineering deliverables
  • Review and check the work of others to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
  • Compile weekly reports on project progress and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver work on schedule and within budget
  • Accountable for the effective administration and implementation of Management of Change
  • Prepare cost and time estimates for projects and provide input into planning and coordination
Requirements
  • 5-7 years of experience in front-end studies, FEED, M&M, and/or EPCI oil and gas projects
  • Experience in participation in HAZOP/HAZID reviews
  • Experience/qualification in Functional Safety
  • Solution-oriented with good communication and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards
  • Strong work ethics and a proactive attitude
  • The ability to train and mentor discipline engineers
  • A commercial mindset, good communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
