About the Role

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join a SME manufacturing organisation undergoing a restructure. This is a three-month fixed term contract opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and negotiate with prospective suppliers, while maintaining critical relationships.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and provide strategic advice.
• Analyse market trends and industry best practices to identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective measures when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations throughout all sourcing activities.

Requirements

• Proven procurement experience with a strategic approach to sourcing vendors or suppliers.
• Resilience in achieving ambitious targets and the ability to respond positively to setbacks.
• Skilled in analysing complex information to create clear and communicable solutions.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
• CIPS qualifications are preferable.
