About the Role:

As a Children's Team Leader Nights, you will be responsible for managing a series of key manufacturing zones within the Creams process unit to ensure they meet all safety, quality, cost, and on-time delivery goals in support of associated business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet and exceed zone performance goals on an hour-by-hour and shift-by-shift basis.
  • Provide direct coaching, support, and development to your team (up to 15 direct reports).
  • Ensure compliance within your zone for all regulatory policies working to GMP standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement across your area of responsibility with a strong focus on Value Added vs. Non-Value-Added activity.
  • Support the Senior Group Leader with effective recruitment, selection, and training.
  • Report operational performance to show by hour, shift, week, and month with accountability to take action to address misses.
  • Create a culture within the process unit to manage and, where possible, improve compliance with Environment, Health & Safety requirements, and fostering a zero-harm workplace.
  • Interact regularly with senior management on matters concerning functional areas and/or customers.
  • Frequently interact with your support function peers to establish exceptional levels of daily performance.
  • Manage the deployment and standard of foundational Lean tools within your zone including 5S, Visual Management, TPM, Standardised Work, and Practical Problem Solving.
  • Manage people including holidays, sickness, absence, and carrying out regular effective one-to-one appraisals.
  • Communicate effectively with clear and productive shift handovers.
