Lead Construction Project Manager
People Group Limited is seeking a seasoned construction expert to take charge of a significant project. This role involves overseeing the planning, organization, and execution of a large-scale construction initiative.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Project Director and collaborate closely with external client representatives, key stakeholders, and the internal project team.
As the primary leader, you will be entrusted with a majority of the responsibilities under the guidance of the Project Director.
This is a permanent position with a competitive salary range of £85,000 to £100,000.
The project is part of a substantial construction framework, working with one of our long-standing clients.
The ideal candidate will possess experience in managing projects related to correctional facilities, healthcare institutions, and educational buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee package delivery and provide updates to the Project Director.
- Plan and manage the successful execution of all assigned project packages.
- Ensure projects are completed within budgetary constraints and timelines.
- Guarantee compliance with local, UK-specific, and EU regulations.
- Adhere to all UK building standards.
- Exhibit strong financial management and budget oversight capabilities.
- Identify potential project risks and develop proactive strategies for mitigation.
- Demonstrate diligence, efficiency, and meticulous attention to detail to ensure high-quality outcomes.
- Collect and analyze data to support informed decision-making.
- Monitor and report on the progress of all ongoing projects.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years in Project Management roles.
- At least 2 years of professional construction experience with a Main Contractor.
- Experience with Reinforced Concrete projects.
- Client-facing experience in a live working environment.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- SMSTS or equivalent Health & Safety certification.
- Qualified first aider.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple project packages and personnel concurrently.
