Job Description:

Holt Executive has partnered with a leading design and manufacturing company to fill the role of Electronics Design Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing electronics for instrumentation and acoustics applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electronics for instrumentation and acoustics applications
  • Expertise in analogue and digital circuit design, preferably within an instrumentation development environment
  • Involvement in mixed-signal design, including pre-amplifiers, filters, power supplies, interfacing, and analogue-to-digital conversion for precision instrumentation applications
  • Essential experience or knowledge in microcontroller-based circuit design and embedded software
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, contributing to all stages of the product development cycle, from requirement analysis to design, development, and production
  • IPC certification preferred (training available)
  • Proficiency in OrCAD design software or similar tools

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Circuit analysis, modelling, and theory
  • Analog-Digital Conversion
  • I2C and SPI bus
  • CAD Schematic layout
  • CAD PCB design
  • Linux and other OS
  • BSc/BEng or equivalent in Engineering or similar discipline (2:1 or higher)

Requirements:

  • Security clearance will be applied for on appointment
  • UK passport holders required, plus proof of residency in UK for last 5 years
  • Occasional travel to customer sites and offshore support may be required
