PROJECT QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER
LOCATION: EAST YORKSHIRE
We are looking for a dedicated Project Quality Assurance Engineer to contribute to a significant heavy civil engineering initiative in East Yorkshire. The project encompasses various activities including earthworks, pipe installation, piling, reinforced concrete structures, paving, and drainage systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Quality Manager in developing, reviewing, and executing the necessary Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), Quality Plans, and other quality-related tasks.
- Interpret project specifications and effectively communicate requirements to the project team, while coordinating with clients regarding variations and concessions.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of the Management System, including data analysis, root cause analysis, auditing, and report generation.
- Ensure that corrective actions following root cause analysis are implemented and resolved promptly.
- Prepare Quality Performance Reports in accordance with Audit Criteria, Objectives/KPIs, and Contractual Requirements.
- Develop contractual and project-specific quality documentation, including inspection and test plan records, to support installation, completion, and commissioning.
- Oversee the quality of work performed by subcontractors.
- Represent Trant Engineering Limited during staged inspections.
- Review and approve project documentation on behalf of Trant Engineering Limited.
- Evaluate and endorse ITPs and Quality Plans.
- Review Operations and Maintenance manuals to ensure compliance.
- Identify and resolve non-conformities, including defects.
- Participate in quality meetings.
- Read and comprehend engineering drawings.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience in Quality Assurance within the construction sector, particularly in heavy civil engineering.
- Strong report writing and presentation skills.
- Experience in client-facing roles.
- Proficient in IT, including MS Office and SharePoint.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Certification as an Internal/Lead Auditor or experience in internal auditing is advantageous but not mandatory.
Educational Requirements:
- ISO9001 related qualification.
- CSCS certification.
