Overview

Mountain Warehouse is seeking a talented and motivated Junior CAD Designer to join our growing design team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the development of apparel collections for men's, women's, and children's lines.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design apparel across casual (jersey and woven), active, and swim ranges for all departments.
  • Analyze market trends to identify emerging shapes, fabrics, and color palettes.
  • Manage the product lifecycle from research to tech pack stage.
  • Collaborate with buying teams to source trims and materials, ensuring alignment with design direction.
  • Ensure all designs are original, inspiring, and commercially viable, reflecting Mountain Warehouse's brand identity.
  • Create accurate and detailed trim packs and tech packs.
  • Present seasonal creative concepts to senior management with confidence and clarity.
  • Contribute to maintaining the critical path to ensure timely sample delivery.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration within the design team.

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in casual, active, and swim apparel design with a strong understanding of outerwear construction, fabrics, and finishes.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign.
  • A commercial eye for design and a compelling portfolio showcasing design development and tech pack examples across various apparel categories.
  • Excellent time management and project coordination skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a demanding environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration within a team setting.
