Job Title: Adult Care Assistant/Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Adult Care Assistant/Support Worker to join our team in Galashiels. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality care and support to adults with complex needs, enabling them to live independently and maximise their opportunities.

About the Role:
  • Provide person-centred care and support to adults with autism, dementia, and learning disabilities
  • Work collaboratively with the management team, family members, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Establish and maintain good daily routines, including personal care and seizure management
  • Display emotional resilience and empathy when supporting service users with life-limiting conditions
  • Work flexible schedules, including night shifts, weekends, and bank holidays
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with adults with complex needs
  • Experience in, or willingness to undertake training in PEG feeding, epilepsy, and moving and handling
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Registration under the PVG scheme
  • Full driving licence
  • SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (desirable)
