Progress and Enrichment Officer

We are seeking a dedicated and learner-focused individual to join our Early Years, Education & Social Care department as a Progress and Enrichment Officer.

About the Role

This is a term-time role working 22.5 hours per week, 40 weeks per year. The successful candidate will support our students with all aspects of their college journey from application to final achievement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the Early Years, Health and Care students are supported and that associated policies and statutory guidance are adhered to and understood across all areas of responsibility.
  • Support the application of the provisions Positive Behaviour policy.
  • Minimise disruption to learning and teaching by ensuring high expectations and standards with regard to compliant behaviour and behaviour for learning in line with the provisions Positive Behaviour Policy.
  • Ensure students are punctual to lessons and move safely around the building.
Requirements
  • GCSE 4 – 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in Maths or be prepared to pass a test before interview to demonstrate level 2 ability and then if appointed achieve within an agreed timescale.

  • A Level 3 qualification.
  • Successful experience working with 16-18 students on a 1:1 and group basis to achieve their career goals (in education, youth work or a community setting).
  • Proven experience of working with parents/carers of children and young people.
