Mechanical Installation Engineer Position Overview

Bennett & Game Recruitment LTD is seeking a skilled Mechanical Installation Engineer to join their team in the Preston/Manchester area. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing diesel-powered generators in various settings, including data centers, sports stadiums, and residential projects.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Install generators in plant rooms, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
  2. Install fuel systems, including tanks, pipes, pumps, and fill points.
  3. Install fire drop valve systems and associated ancillaries.
  4. Install exhaust systems, including welding and lagging of silencers and pipe work.
  5. Install ducting for air flow requirements and cable tray systems.
  6. Perform welding, fabricating, painting, and civil works as required.

Requirements:
  1. 3+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably with a recognized apprenticeship.
  2. Experience in welding, fabricating, and installing plant equipment.
  3. Relevant City & Guilds or NVQ Engineering qualifications are advantageous.
  4. Full Driving Licence and CSCS Card are required.
