Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Operations Officer to join our Financial Assurance & Debt Management Team at North Lincolnshire Council. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing specialist operational and financial administrative support to ensure the council meets its statutory and contractual duties for payments and income collections relating to its care and support services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical knowledge of adult social care finance processes to support the team
- Use the central finance system to raise orders and invoices, look up income collection and debt, and maintain accurate records
- Support customers with financial assessments, collecting and returning documentation, and basic direct payment audits
- Provide telephone cover for Customer Financial Services and deal with routine and sensitive financial issues for customers
- Negotiate and implement payment plans to recover debt and maintain records of customer contact
- Escalate suspected adult protection safeguarding issues through appropriate channels
Requirements
- Ability to work in a busy team environment and be positive and supportive to others
- Organizational skills to manage work priorities and be meticulous in work
- Competence in dealing with various different people and providing excellent customer care skills
