Electronics Design Engineer

We are seeking an Electronics Design Engineer to join our team at our Scotland site.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing electronic circuits and assemblies from concept to production release and maintenance, debugging, simulating, and validating electronic and system designs, testing and reporting results, and creating technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing electronic circuits and assemblies from concept to production release and maintenance.
  • Debugging, simulation, and validation of electronic and system designs.
  • Test and report results to the development team.
  • Reliability and regulatory testing of products.
  • Creating technical documentation.
  • Transferring design data sets to production for manufacturing and support during product lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • Education to a degree or equivalent in a relevant subject with demonstrable experience in board-level design and mixed-signal electronics.
  • Experience in microcontroller/mixed digital/analogue electronic circuit design.
  • A good understanding of product design from specification through to delivery.
  • Practical experience in Schematics Capture and PCB Design Tools.
  • Good prototyping skills and soldering with SMT components.
  • Excellent debugging skills and ability to integrate and validate electronic and system designs.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to create and maintain technical documentation.

Desirable Skills:

  • Relatable experience within the laser environment.
