Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and inspirational Teaching Assistant to join our team at Redwood School. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our students with complex Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to provide specialist support to individual students, small groups, and leading learning activities within an area of specialism.
  • Deliver whole-class teaching cover, for example, during teacher's Professional Planning and Preparation time or due to staff absence.
  • Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions both in and out of the classroom.
  • Commit to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Review and assess student progress.
