Job Title: Band 5/6 Health and Wellbeing Nurse

We are seeking an experienced and passionate nurse to join our team at Southmead Hospital, Bristol. As a Band 5/6 Health and Wellbeing Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our patients, supervising junior staff, and contributing to the development of our nursing team.

About the Role
  • Provide and supervise the delivery of high standards of nursing care to patients, in accordance with evidence-based professional practice and NHS policies.
  • Lead and develop junior staff, ensuring the continuity of care for patients and full implementation of NHS policies.
  • Undertake comprehensive nursing assessments, prepare care plans, and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided in partnership with patients.
  • Administer medication within relevant NHS and legislative guidance.
  • Supervise junior and unqualified staff, and implement care and rehabilitation programs.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided in partnership with patients, and develop risk management strategies for individual patients.
  • Use specialist skills, knowledge, and resources to provide mentoring opportunities for staff and promote positive attitudes towards mental health.
  • Develop junior staff through teaching or training activities, and support the provision of an appropriate learning environment for pre- and post-registered students.
Person Specification
  • RMN qualification with 12 months' experience
  • Disclosure and Barring Service Check
