Antitrust/Competition Associate Job Description

We are seeking an accomplished Antitrust/Competition Associate to join our top-tier US law firm in London.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a global powerhouse in the professional services industry, representing multinational clients in high-profile, complex matters involving merger control, abuse of dominance, private damages actions, and cartel investigations before the European Commission and the Competition and Markets Authority.

As an Antitrust/Competition Associate, you will oversee and manage all aspects of antitrust and competition legal issues, deliver expert advice on competition law matters to clients, and develop and implement legal strategies in line with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of antitrust and competition legal issues
  • Deliver expert advice on competition law matters to clients
  • Develop and implement legal strategies in line with company objectives
  • Coordinate with other legal professionals to ensure the provision of top-tier services
  • Stay current on all industry and legal developments related to antitrust/competition
  • Handle complex legal cases with minimal supervision
  • Lead and mentor junior members of the team
  • Ensure adherence to all legal guidelines and in-house policies
Requirements
  • Advanced knowledge in competition law
  • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales
  • A legal degree from a reputable institution
  • Exceptional understanding of the professional services industry
  • Proven track record in a similar role
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
