Job Summary
Penguin Recruitment is seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our team in Attleborough, Norfolk. As a Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and delivering structural solutions for commercial, industrial, and domestic projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed design calculations to up-to-date Eurocodes
- Manage the delivery of design for a portfolio of projects and assets
- Co-ordinate the detailed design drawings and prepare specifications for tender and construction purposes
- Assist with the delivery of high-quality solutions across a variety of sectors for clients and stakeholders
- Collaborate with design teams both within ARD and externally to deliver structural design solutions to agreed timescales and budgets
- Conduct structural surveys of buildings and structures and provide advice
Requirements
- Progression towards MIStructE/MICE Chartered membership
- Excellent communication skills, in both written and spoken English
- Hold a current UK driving licence
- Structural design experience in core materials; Concrete, Steel, Masonry, and Timber
- A high level of competence with AutoCAD, with experience of Revit being advantageous
- Modelling package experience with Tekla Tedds & Structural Designer, Masterseries would be advantageous
- Experience in conducting structural surveys and drafting reports
- Experience of processes, tools, and techniques for the design of structural assets
- Experience of refurbishment and change of use designs as well as new build projects
- Ability to work on own initiative and seek assistance when required
