Legal Secretary - Court of Protection

We are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join our team in Manchester City Centre. As a Legal Secretary, you will provide high-level support to partners and fee earners, working closely with the partner and their team in all departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-level support to partners and fee earners, working closely with the partner and their team in all departments.
  • Extensive diary management and organising complex travel arrangements.
  • Assist partners with daily secretarial duties such as audio typing.
  • Assist the partner in providing effective and high-quality secretarial support.
  • Undertake all aspects of the role using the most appropriate tools and resources for the task to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and proactively contribute to the team's success by actively seeking to improve working processes.
  • Ensure all work is undertaken in the correct priority order.
  • Follow team processes and procedures when undertaking tasks.
  • Perform any ad-hoc secretarial/reception duties.
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience as a Legal Secretary.
  • Strong working knowledge of iManage and Bighand or similar tools.
  • IT literate with high-level proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), Lync - Skype for Business, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Detailed and strong working knowledge of and high-level proficiency in Elite billing.
  • Exemplary document management and filing.
  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills.
  • Apply knowledge and judgement to solve problems and make decisions.
