Position Overview
An exceptional opportunity has emerged within the Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) department, specifically in the Aural Care sector.
This role invites a full-time or job share registered nurse to become a nurse specialist in aural care within the ENT service.
The successful candidate will either possess the National Diploma in Primary Ear Care or will be supported in obtaining this qualification.
Applicants should have a solid understanding and experience with ENT conditions, particularly those affecting the ear.
The role necessitates the ability to work autonomously while managing a personal caseload of patients. The post holder will gain qualifications in micro-suction techniques and will be responsible for treating and managing various ear conditions, including but not limited to mastoid cavity issues, otitis externa, and other acute and routine ear ailments.

Main Responsibilities
This position is a part-time or full-time Band 6 role, providing support across multiple sites.
The post holder will assist the Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) lead in triaging referrals and managing the emergency line.
Excellent communication and history-taking skills are essential, as the role involves prioritizing and evaluating workload based on the service's referral criteria. The successful candidate will conduct physical examinations of the ear.
As an independent non-medical prescriber within the CNS role, the successful applicant will take responsibility for a range of medications within their area of expertise, adhering to the organization's medicine management policies. Training will be provided.

Job Responsibilities
