We are currently looking for a seasoned Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in delivering European data centre projects and mission-critical facilities, with additional experience in sectors such as pharmaceutical processes, healthcare, commercial spaces, laboratories, and cleanroom environments being advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the execution of small-scale projects. Conduct research, develop, design, and take responsibility for coordinating and monitoring engineering project services for Mechanical or Electrical systems, installations, and facilities.
  • Design and specify control systems, instruments, and operational frameworks for all building engineering services.
  • Conduct surveys, tests, and evaluations of existing electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Define activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing align with functional specifications and client requirements.
  • Represent the company in technical discussions with clients, professional teams, and contractor groups.
  • Prepare modifications to specifications using word processing or spreadsheet software.
  • Ensure that engineering calculations and drawings comply with industry standards and legal requirements.
  • Validate the contributions of Intermediate and Graduate Engineers in design processes.
  • Support project delivery in line with the RED Project Delivery Process, focusing on Project Management, Financial Management, Quality Assurance/Quality Control, and Technical Review.

Qualifications and Skills

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • HND or degree qualified, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Working towards or holding MCIBSE/MIEE or equivalent professional status.
  • Progressing towards Chartered Engineer status.
  • Experience in specification design and drafting for at least one building type.
  • Strong understanding of Health and Safety regulations and legislation.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to utilize IT-based calculation and spreadsheet software effectively.
  • Good knowledge of British Standards.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Capability to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Leadership and managerial skills.
  • Commitment to ethical practices in line with the Ethics Charter and Ethics in Practice Guidelines.
  • Experience in consulting or construction is preferred.
  • Understanding of international business operations within a global consultancy context.
