We are seeking an Aspiring School-Based SEN Psychologist to join our team in Islington. The successful candidate will work alongside SEN staff and teachers to support students with special educational needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Support students with special educational needs in a school setting
  • Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to identify students who require additional psychological support
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve emotional, social, and academic outcomes for SEN students
  • Provide one-on-one and group support sessions to students facing emotional, behavioral, or learning challenges
  • Support the creation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral management strategies
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of SEN programs
  • Work closely with external specialists, parents, and guardians to ensure the holistic support of each student
Requirements:
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in Educational Psychology or SEN support
  • Relevant qualifications in psychology, education, or a related field
  • Experience working with children, preferably in a school or SEN setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient approach
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and external professionals
  • Strong organizational skills and adaptability
  • Commitment to professional growth and development
  • Valid DBS and right to work document
