Aspiring School-Based SEN Psychologist

We are seeking an Aspiring School-Based SEN Psychologist to join our team in Islington. The successful candidate will work alongside SEN staff and teachers to support students with special educational needs.
Responsibilities:- Support students with special educational needs in a school setting
- Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to identify students who require additional psychological support
- Develop and implement strategies to improve emotional, social, and academic outcomes for SEN students
- Provide one-on-one and group support sessions to students facing emotional, behavioral, or learning challenges
- Support the creation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral management strategies
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of SEN programs
- Work closely with external specialists, parents, and guardians to ensure the holistic support of each student
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in Educational Psychology or SEN support
- Relevant qualifications in psychology, education, or a related field
- Experience working with children, preferably in a school or SEN setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient approach
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and external professionals
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability
- Commitment to professional growth and development
- Valid DBS and right to work document
This role requires a comprehensive understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures. Successful applicants must undergo background safer recruitment checks.
