About the Role: Our client, Adam Appointments Limited, is in search of a seasoned Compliance and Risk Oversight Specialist. This position encompasses a balanced focus on both risk management and compliance duties. Candidates with a background in investment management risk or compliance will find this role particularly fitting, as a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory landscape is crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining a robust risk management framework.
- Overseeing risk assessments and compliance audits, ensuring timely reporting to stakeholders regarding the effectiveness of controls and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Managing the documentation, analysis, and reporting of incidents to enhance organizational learning.
- Contributing to the creation of systems and tools that measure and communicate key risk management metrics to corporate boards and senior leadership.
- Establishing and monitoring key risk indicators to evaluate business performance against risk appetite.
- Representing the Risk and Compliance team in various projects and change initiatives.
- Assisting business units in designing and implementing operational best practices and process enhancements.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a compliance or risk role within an FCA-regulated organization, preferably in the asset management sector.
- A proven track record of effective collaboration, supporting strategic objectives, and driving process improvements.
This position is suited for a flexible individual who excels in a team-oriented environment and is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of risk management and compliance.
