Job Summary
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Safety & Environmental professional to join our client's team in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. This role will involve working independently and as part of a compliance team, ensuring adherence to stringent safety and environmental standards across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice and guidance to department staff on maintaining a safe and compliant work environment, adhering to all relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Conduct thorough hazard assessments and workplace inspections, identifying potential risks and recommending corrective actions to mitigate hazards.
- Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs, policies, and procedures, ensuring alignment with corporate guidelines and industry benchmarks.
- Deliver engaging and informative safety training programs to employees at all levels, fostering a culture of safety awareness and accountability.
- Collaborate with management and stakeholders to analyze incident data, identify trends, and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences.
- Stay abreast of evolving safety regulations and industry best practices, recommending updates and improvements to existing programs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred. Certification for Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 8 years of proven experience in safety/operational roles within the oil & gas, petrochemical, or related industries.
- Comprehensive knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environmental compliance requirements, including applicable industry standards and governmental regulations.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.
