Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team in Dumfries and Galloway, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS).
The successful candidate will work closely with our existing clinical team, comprising of Clinical Director, Clinical Nurse Manager, and other healthcare professionals, to provide high-quality care to children and adolescents with mental health needs.
The post holder will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating children and adolescents with complex mental health conditions, as well as providing leadership and guidance to junior staff members.
We are looking for a candidate with a higher qualification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, who is on the Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent psychiatry, or within 3 months of eligibility. The ideal candidate will also be AMP approved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose children and adolescents with mental health conditions
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
- Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff members
- Contribute to the development of clinical policies and guidelines
