We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Specialist to join our team at a primary school in Rochford, Essex. As a SEN Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting and empowering young minds with special educational, social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide 1:1 support for children with special educational needs, ensuring their full integration into classroom activities and progression.
- Implement targets outlined in pupils' Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with class teachers and the SENCo.
- Strong understanding of Autism and effective strategies, such as TEACCH, to support pupils with this need.
- Knowledge and empathy for social, emotional, and mental health needs, as well as cognitive challenges affecting children and young people's development.
- Exceptional listening skills and the ability to build trusting relationships that foster growth and confidence.
- Resilience and enthusiasm for taking on regular responsibility for agreed learning activities.
- Champion inclusion and promote the participation of all pupils in learning and social skills activities.
