Senior Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Construction team at London Gatwick. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and managing cost plans to ensure the financial efficiency and feasibility of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cost Planning and Estimation

Prepare detailed budgets and cost estimates at various project stages, from initial concept to final construction, including internal costs.

Cost Control and Risk Management

Control project costs and prevent overruns by tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Measurement and Rate Analysis

Conduct accurate measurement, rate analysis, and risk assessments.

Contract Administration

Administer contracts for design and construction contracts as they are awarded, including change management.

Requirements

  • Experience

Previous experience in a cost engineering, contract management, or commercial role within the construction or infrastructure sectors, working on projects typically over £5 million.

Education

Educated to Degree level or equivalent in a relevant engineering, construction, or business-related field.

Skills

Full working knowledge and understanding of using web-based contract management tools (e.g. Cemar).

Contract Knowledge

Thorough understanding of NEC suite of contracts, and associated contract administration and negotiations.
